mRNA is like a Virus definition signature Update for our Body — A Perspective from a Software Developer

The world is facing its second wave and with rates of infections rising across different regions across the world, it’s truly turning out to be a more uncertain time in the near term; yes there is news about the vaccines, and that too on the positive front. Big companies like Pfizer, BionTech applying for Emergency FDA approvals.

Why I am kind of repeating the same stuff that you might already be fed by general media and that too with a regular dosage; there are numerous expert calls stories, impact on the economy, impact on mental health, how long we will be living like this and all. Okay, I hear you, time to calm down and put on our Developer hat and see if there is any relation I can derive as per the Title of this post, so let’s see the basic how the recently released vaccines related to mRNA works —

Traditional Vaccines work by training the body to recognize and respond to the proteins produced by disease-causing organisms, such as a virus or bacteria. Traditional vaccines are made up of small or inactivated doses of the whole disease-causing organism, or the proteins that it produces, which are introduced into the body to provoke the immune system into mounting a response.

mRNA vaccines trick the body into producing some of the viral proteins itself. They work by using mRNA, or messenger RNA, which is the molecule that essentially puts DNA instructions into action.

Thus it’s kind of a Virus Signature update for our body, telling it what it is and how to fight it?

Relating this and transposing it to how we have viruses on Windows Operating System, what we do to fight those are we install antivirus software, update its signature definition and try to fix the virus by targeting as per the updated virus definition and an eradicating mechanism.

Now relating both the worlds from what we have seen in the software side; a virus definitions update is required all the time to fight with the latest threats; so all I do ask is Question Deeper will mRNA open up a whole new world of training our bodies in a different way and updating and patching the virus definitions in the future.

Trying to interpret my twisted mind and come up with a final question — “ Is this an end of something new or just a beginning — — — — — — ?

Signing off for now, Question Deeper dear reader.
